Exhibition-cum-sale ‘Kosa Festival’ begins
Ladies, who want to wrap themselves in handcrafted prints on silk, can visit an exhibition-cum-sale ‘Kosa Festival’ being organised by Mrignayani Emporium of Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation, GTB complex.
The exhibition began from Sunday and would conclude here on January 7.
It showcases enormous variety of saree wears that could adorn their wardrobe this New Year. One could find a wonderful collection of sarees and dress materials in Kosa silk.
Manager of the emporium, Darshan Vajpayee told The Pioneer, “The people of Bhopal can explore the variety of sarees embedded with the oldest fabric of the State and the best karigari being displayed here.” After a long period of 12 years the Kosa Silk Festival is organised in the city, he added further. “We would endeavour to organise this fair in the coming years as well,” he added.
There is something different people can find in here. The prints that beautify the looks of the material are the Mughlai Pattern prints. The royal designs which are often seen on royal rugs are imprinted on the sarees.
Different designs in Kosa silk are displayed in exhibition. There is an array of vibrant colours like green, ocean green and ocean blue along with shades of yellow, brown, sky colours and colours in contrast.
Further, the exhibition shares a quality variety of Silk in running material as well. The cost of the Kosa silk saree and dress materials starts from Rs 3,000 going to the highest till Rs 68,000. Elaborating further, he informed, “There is embroidery work done on the sarees with real gold.”
People are exploring the most enchanting work on dress materials at the exhibition. The fair is captivating the attention of female participants; as such royal sarees can add more exquisiteness to their wardrobes at affordable prices.
