Campaigning heightens in remaining four Poll bound states
With just five days left for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, campaigning is on in full swing in the state.
Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will attend election meetings in Kukshi and Sidhi on Wednesday while BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will address election rallies in Satna, Shahdol, Singrauli and Jabalpur.
Chief Minster Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address election meetings using holographic 3-D technique from Wednesday.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has said that he will change the scenario of Madhya Pradesh in the matter of development in the next five years while union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has claimed that there is a wave of change in government across the state.
On the other hand Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh has said that his party will play a crucial role in forming government in Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile elaborate security arrangements are being made for free and fair elections on the 25th of this month.
As many as 548 companies of Central Armed Police Forces will be deployed across the state.
It is the last date for withdrawal of nominations for Delhi Assembly polls.
Nomination papers of 900 candidates for 70 constituencies have been accepted, while 210 applications were rejected.
The rejections were due to faults in their applications. In the three-cornered assembly election, Delhi Chief Minster Sheila Dikshit, BJP nominee Harsh Vardhan and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal are in the fray.
As campaigning heightens in Rajasthan, the BJP will on Wednesday release its manifesto in Jaipur.
BJP President Rajnath Singh and Rajasthan unit Chief Vasundhare Raje will also be present on the occasion.
Also, BJP president Rajnath Singh will address a public meeting in Jaipur, Sikar and Bharatpur.
